Classroom Guidance
As the school counselor, I get to work with students in many capacities, but one way that I get to serve ALL students is through Classroom Guidance. There are three main domains that I focus on:
Academic: help find ways for students to be academically successful
- Study Skills
- Academic Self-Concept
- Goal Setting
Career: help students gain a foundation from which they can gain the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to help them transition from school to the work force.
- Foster Career Awareness
- Team work
Personal/Social: help provide a foundation for personal and social growth
- Interpersonal Skills (Friendship)
- Decision Making
- Personal Safety (Peer Pressure, Coping Skills, etc)
